Your employer’s app shows your employer’s rota, for as long as you work there. Clock Shift is yours: your main job, overtime and any second job in one calendar, set up the way you think about your week. When you change jobs, it comes with you.

Press Start free trial: it takes a name, an email address and a password — no card. Your 7 days start when you confirm your email. While Clock Shift is invite-only, that page lets you ask for an invite instead, or email [email protected].

No. Clock Shift runs in the browser on your phone or computer, and it is designed for a phone first.

No. There is no manager view, no approvals and no swaps. Your account is your working life, and nobody else looks in.

No. You can add one at any time during the week from your account. Nothing is taken until your free week ends, so adding it early costs you nothing and loses you no days.

If you have added a card, nothing changes: the first £3.99 is taken and you carry on. If you have not, Clock Shift asks you to add one before you can use the calendar again. Your shifts are kept, and you can still download them or delete your account.

Payments are handled by Stripe through Link, which is the seller of record for your subscription. Your statement shows LINK.COM* CLOCKSHIFT, and your receipts and invoices come from Link.

From your account page, or from link.com where your subscription also appears. You keep Clock Shift until the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing more is taken.

If something has gone wrong, email [email protected] and say what happened. You can also ask Link support about a payment within 60 days of it.

Free apps still have to be paid for, usually through adverts or by selling what they learn about you. Clock Shift is funded by a single subscription — £3.99 a month after a free 7-day trial — so there are no adverts, no tracking and nothing to sell. You are the customer, not the product.

Only what it needs to run your calendar: your name and email address, your shifts, patterns and shift types, and the minimum required to keep your account secure. It is stored on servers we run in the UK and used for one thing — showing your calendar back to you. Payments are handled by Stripe, which sees your email address and card, never your shifts. Nothing is ever sold or used for advertising, and there are no analytics on this site or in the app.

You. Nothing in Clock Shift shares them with anyone. The tools used to run the service show account details only — your name, email address, when you joined and whether you are on a trial or paying — never your shifts, patterns or shift types.

Your account and everything in it are removed from Clock Shift straight away, and any subscription is cancelled first. Copies in our nightly backups age out over about six months; backups are only ever used to recover the service. You can download your shifts before you go.

Add the new job’s shift types and carry on. Types you no longer use are archived, not deleted, so every shift you worked under them keeps its name and colour.

Yes. A night is one shift, not two halves either side of midnight, and on the two nights a year the clocks change it counts the hours you actually worked — eleven or thirteen instead of twelve.

You can download them as a calendar file (.ics) or a spreadsheet (.csv) from your account at any time. A live calendar feed that keeps itself up to date is coming next.
