Your account and your data
Your name, time zone, week start, password, downloads, and deleting your data or account.
Light and dark
Clock Shift starts by following your device. The sun or moon button at the top switches between light and dark, and it stays on the one you picked. To follow your device again, open your account page and, under Preferences, set Appearance to Match my device. It is saved on each device separately.
Your account page
Tap your email address at the top of any screen — or Account on a phone. Everything below is on that one page.
| Section | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Profile | Set the name you go by. Your email address is shown here too. |
| Preferences | Your time zone, and whether your week starts on Monday or Sunday. Monday unless you change it. |
| Password | Change it with your current password. |
| Your data | Download every shift: an .ics file for Google, Apple or Outlook calendar, or a .csv spreadsheet with the paid hours worked out. |
| Delete | Clear your shifts, patterns and shift types, or delete your whole account. |
Changing your time zone
Changing your password
On your account page, under Password, enter your current password and the new one twice — at least 15 characters. It signs you out on every other device, and keeps you signed in on this one. Forgotten it? Sign out, tap Forgot it? on the sign-in screen and follow the email.
Downloading your shifts
Under Your data, tap For a calendar app (.ics) or As a spreadsheet (.csv). The file is a copy of your shifts as they are at that moment — it does not update itself when your rota changes.
Deleting your data or your account
Under Delete, tap Delete my data… or Delete my account…
It says exactly how many shifts, patterns and shift types will go.Type your email address to confirm
Tap Delete my data for good or Delete my account for good
Deleting your data keeps your account and signs nothing out. Deleting your account signs you out everywhere and takes you to the sign-in screen.
Deleting means deleting
Your data
- Your shifts are stored on servers we run in the UK. They are never sold or shared for advertising.
- The app sets one cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. There are no analytics.
- The only email Clock Shift sends is a password reset link, when you ask for one.
