What Clock Shift is
The four screens and how they fit together.
Clock Shift is a calendar for the shifts you work. You put your shifts in — one at a time or from a repeating pattern — and it shows you what you are on, what is next, and what your week comes to. It is yours, not your employer’s: every job you work can live in one place.
The four screens
Once you are signed in, the bar along the top has three links — Calendar, Patterns and Shift types — and the Clock Shift logo takes you to Today.
| Screen | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Today | What you are on now or next, a countdown, the next seven days and your hours this week. |
| Calendar | Every shift, as a month, a week or a list. Tap a day to add, edit or delete shifts. |
| Patterns | Your rota set up once — a fixed week, four on four off, a four-week cycle — kept on your calendar a year ahead. |
| Shift types | Your own names, codes, colours and usual hours for the shifts you work. |
Where to start
Today asks how your rota works and starts you in the right place: a pattern if it repeats, or the calendar if it changes every time. Your first ten minutes walks through it.
Good to know
Clock Shift runs in the browser on your phone or computer. There is nothing to install. It follows your device’s light or dark setting until you tap the theme button. To follow it again, pick Match my device under Account → Preferences → Appearance.
